We are at home having a bit of a pity party ourselves. Flew to CO on Tuesday, met up with friends Wednesday, flew home Thursday as we had been informed Thursday morning one of our friends tested positive for Covid. We figured we’d rather get sick at home than in a hotel room and we could not yet be contagious. Now we’re still both fine and enjoying our lovely weather, finally, and our beautiful garden while we quarantine. Might have to bake a cake though! Feel better soon!
I’m so glad you’re feeling better and I hope your sense of smell and taste come back. I had Covid at the end of October last year and had anosmia for a couple of days at the very end. It was weird.
I made the Aperol cake last weekend and it was delicious. I baked it at the lowest temperature and it needed much more time. I’ll try at the higher temperature next time.
So glad to hear you have recovered! Sometimes we just need to feel sorry for ourselves for a bit. But I thought the upside of being abandoned was having the house to roam around in, although like you, after a bit I get bored sitting about unless I'm so sick I can't even get out of bed. After my knee replacement I spent many an hour watching day-time t.v. It was not good! Enjoy your stay in Italy!
EVERYBODY is allowed their own pity party from time to time, just as long as there's an agreed upon time to show the door. Here's hoping for a full tastebud recovery. We need you.
Pity Party Of One
Glad you are now in Italy and I would have had a pity party, too! Leave it to you to make delicious things while recuperating, Domenica! ❤️
Oh no Domenica!! So happy you are finally back to Italy. Now enjoy it all!
