We go to Molise quite often because it’s so close to where I’m from, in northern Puglia. People from my hometown often go to Termoli — the town and beach is pretty nice, and they are famous for brodetto. As a child I used to go to Bagnoli del Trigno because my aunty’s mom was from there. It’s a beautiful, very quiet little town. I have great memories of my time there.

I will put Bagnoli del Trigno on my visit list. I loved Termoli and hope to get back soon. And brodetto ~ so interesting to see how it changes as you travel down the coast. I lovoo.e it, t

I loved reading about Molise -- the Giro just passed through it the other day, and the commentator mentioned the joke in Italy being "yes, Molise does exist!". I really hope to spend more time in Italy in the coming years, and especially areas that are "lesser known", and Molise is one of those :)

Watching the Giro d'Italia is on my to-do list!

I love the thought of exploring these lesser known regions. And I loved reading more about Tania, who I’ve followed for some years on IG.

The U Funneteglie (hope I haven’t bungled the spelling!) looks so good. As you said, I grew up with peppers and eggs, and sausage and peppers, but isn’t it funny they were never combined!?

Tania is a force! I love her videos. And, like you, I never thought of combining sausages, peppers, AND eggs. A very satisfying meal.

Thank you for this glimpse into Molise. It’s on my list of regions I have not yet explored.

It feels like no matter how much time one spends in Italy there is always more to explore! I'm really looking forward to learning more about Molise.

My fave undiscovered part of Italy is Ortisei in the Dolomites. Fortunately, we will be visiting in July! Then on to fam in Tuscany. My cousins took their great grandfather’s farmhouse in Altopascio and turned it into a Holiday Home. Staying there.

Off topic but desperate to locate your recipe (or your friend’s) for cannellini bean soup w Swiss chard published in newsletter w/in last 5 mos. Fantastic veggie soup and want to make again and again. Grazie mille!

I'm not exactly sure which bean soup you have in mind (I've made and shared so many recipes for bean soup over the years). I would check the recipe archives to see if any listed in the soups category ring a bell: https://buonadomenica.substack.com/p/buona-domenica-recipe-index

I thought I saw something in your post about a book event in the US

Ah! Of course. I’ve been focused on the Molise part of the newsletter and assumed that erroneous connection! Apologies ~ and thanks for the good wishes.
