Another frigid day here and I definitely want to try this. Would you believe you have more little tumblers than I do ? 😂

It was such a pleasure to be able to see you in NYC and we’re both so happy you got to Via Carota that last night. I pulled their book out when we got home and I’m hoping to replicate those artichokes tonight! Everything was so delicious.

It was such luck that we were in the city at the same time! I also pulled my book out to look at that recipe, but I don't think there's a fresh artichoke within 100 miles of Virginia. Love my little tumblers, but one broke recently :( so I will need to replace it when you next have a sale. xx

When I bought the artichokes at Whole Foods they were a bit sorry looking and I could just HEAR Carla’s voice heckling me with the thought of when they might have been picked.

Oh I LOVE that you met Gabrielle & Laura in real life! Their artwork in my house makes me smile every day. (On the rare occasion that I eat Italian in NYC, I am a Il Posto Accanto fan. Beatrice is a treasure and the service is much warmer)

Il Posto Accanto was on my list, but was a bit too far for me to venture to this time around. Next time for sure...

Can't wait for the book Domenica - so exciting. Good luck with this final stretch. Definitely going to make that Italian hot chocolate. And love Gabrielle's ceramics! Stay warm!

Thank you, Susie. So much still to do, but I am so happy to be working on this project (and to have a big distraction at this moment in time). xo

The pasta dishes and the Cioccolata Calda stimulate many agreeable memories of lovely times spent in Italy - just what I needed today!

Thanks for reading, Jack!

Definitely could go for a rich chocolate drink that might also be dessert! The ceramic tumblers are gorgeous, but it looks like just about everything on Gabrielle’s site is sold out. I’m not surprised! Thanks for another delicious post, Domenica! Stay warm.🤗

The way Gabrielle’s online shop works is that several times a year, she uploads items for sale and announces when the sale will go live. Her stuff sells out fast, so I recommend getting on her email list and/or following her Instagram account. Thinking of you and everyone in LA xx

Thanks, Domenica. I’ll do that.

Beautiful recap of your NYC trip, Domenica and the hot chocolate is calling my name! (As always, such a charming illustration :)

Thanks, Jolene. All the decades seem to converge whenever I go back to New York. There's nothing like it. I love the illustration, too. It's the sweetest.

It's always glorious to be treated to the food one has cooked through books...and the cioccolata calda will be whipped up by the overgrown kids here

After I took the photos for this post, my husband, daughter (mid-20s!) and I knocked back those little tumblers pretty quickly.
